Paddleboard Yoga

Take your yoga off the mat and into the pool! This class will help improve your balance, core strength and inner awareness. Please wear a modest bathing suit or clothing appropriate for the pool. All participants should be comfortable in deep water.

Empowered Strength

Strength training can be incredibly empowering because it shines a spotlight on all the things our amazing bodies are capable of. Learn the foundations of a strength training program and experience muscle power, increased metabolism and reduced occurrence of injury. This course is open to women and those who identify as women.

Powerlifting

Join one of our certified personal trainers for a four-week intensive course on proper form and progression of powerlifting movements including squat, deadlift and bench press. Whether it's your first time performing each lift or prepping for a competition, this small group training will help fine tune your lifting techniques for maximal strength results. All levels welcome, and no experience required.

Running Foundations: Run a 5-10K

Learn the foundations of running and running progression. Join our personal trainers who specialize in training runners and learn techniques for flexibility, injury prevention and active recovery. Â鶹ÊÓƵ the joy of running with tips on performance and motivation.
This course will incorporate indoor strength training and outdoor runs.

Marathon to Finish

Learn how to properly cross-train and build the strength, mobility and mindset needed to run a marathon or half marathon! Explore proper lift and strength work particularly around glute and hip strengthening exercises in addition to yoga for runners, different forms of breathing and recovery exercises after runs. Also learn how to structure intervals (speed) workouts and proper gear and footwear.

Basketball Conditioning & Drills

Improve your basketball skills including ball-handling, shooting, conditioning and agility and defensive ability in this four-week small group training. Whether you want to play better in pickup or dominate your intramural league, working on your game in a small group setting will help you exceed your goals on the court.

This group training will end with an official scrimmage and provides reserved entry and automatic registration into JamFest in March.

Climb Better

This four-week climbers' health series has been designed to optimize the physical, mental and emotional components of climbing through cross-training in other methodologies. Explore yoga, functional movement and strength training exercises and partner activities in addition to exercises which will improve coordination, quickness and agility. The course will culminate in a day of outdoor climbing at a local crag, with a guided warm up. Course fee includes a four visit pass at the Rec Center Climbing gym, climbing equipment and transportation for the outdoor climbing day.
