Defensive Driver Training

Individuals who drive a university vehicle are required to take a Defensive Driving course. Affiliates of the university can access free online training for the Defensive Driving Course (not NSC-certified) through MyCUInfo/Skillsoft by clicking the button below:Ìý


National Safety Council DDC-4 Training

Transportation Services holds occasional in-person National Safety Council (NSC) Defensive Driving Courses (DDC-4) at the Transportation Center on East Campus. Cost is $125 per individual. Courses are open to both CU affiliates and members of the public. To schedule a class for your group, please call Transportation Services at 303-492-6010.


CDL Training

Transportation Services can train and administer the driving exam for Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDL) for university employees who require this license for their employment. Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) regulations apply;Ìý Call 303-492-6010 with any questions. Please note: A minimum of two weeks lead-time is required for scheduling the CDL training.

15-Passenger Van Training

Transportation Services has mandated a two hour computerized course (Coaching the Van Driver) and a forty-five minute behind-the-wheel evaluation for 15-passenger van operators. Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) regulations may apply. Call 303-492-6010 to schedule training or answers to your questions. The course fee is $73. Please note: A minimum of two weeks lead-time is required for scheduling the behind-the-wheel evaluation.
