Come find your fit at the Rec! Stop by for free activities including free fitness classes, skate rentals and bouldering in the climbing gym. And check out upcoming events this week such as Bumper Cars on Ice. Buff OneCard required for entry into the Rec Center and events.

Monday, Aug. 22

2–3 p.m. UMC arcade next to the fountains
Stop by the UMC to enjoy some waffles, meet fellow Buffs and learn about different organizations and events on campus. Hosted by the Center for Student Involvement.


Tuesday, Aug. 23

2–4 p.m. College & Broadway underpass
Start your year off strong with self-care trivia. Stop by the Health Huts tent to learn about self-care practices in each of the eight dimensions of wellness. Gain strategies to reduce stress and improve well-being, and leave with a prize.

5–7 p.m. UMC 235
Craft with others at this DIY event. Decorate a baseball hat or bucket hat in a CU color (gold, white, black and gray). Learn how to embroider your initials or the CU logo onto a hat. Or you can get creative and choose your own image. Not in the mood for needle work? No problem! You can also choose to decorate your hat by ironing on patches. This event is limited to the first 50 CU Boulder students who register. .

5–6 p.m.Ěý UMC 355
Join this small guided tour to see all of the features that make CU Boulder one of the most sustainable campuses in the nation. You’ll visit pollinator gardens, bike stations, solar panels, the on-campus recycling facility and more. Be prepared to walk all over campus and Ěý


Wednesday, Aug. 24

2–6 p.m. Farrand Field
Â鶹ĘÓƵ the organizations that make up our CU Boulder community and make new connections at the Be Involved Fair. Whether you want to join a student organization, get connected with a campus department, work an on-campus job, volunteer in your community or find a new hobby—getting involved gives you the opportunity to grow. Stop by the fair to learn more about how you can get involved this year.


Thursday, Aug. 25

Don’t know where to start or feeling stuck in your internship search? Join Career Services to learn about strategies for finding, applying for and successfully getting internships. .

4–7 p.m. Sewall Hall lawn
Connect with your community and make new friends as you enjoy free food, games, music and more. Meet student organizations and multicultural Greek leaders, get to know the staff from the Center for Inclusion and Social Change and learn about campus resources.

7–9 p.m. UMC 235
This beginner-friendly guided paint class is a great way to meet others while creating a painting you can’t wait to show off. The Center for Student Involvement is partnering with local studio Tracy’s Traveling Art to host in-person guided painting classes. Take some time to relax and learn from a pro; all supplies included. The class is limited to the first 100 students who sign up—register here.Ěý
