All adults working with minors are trained in mandatory reporting requirements.

A mandated reporter is a person who is legally required to ensure a report is made when abuse is observed or suspected. Colorado state law C.R.S. 19-3-304 outlines those who are . Reports of suspected child abuse or neglect made by University of Colorado personnel (employee, volunteer, or graduate student) must be made to CUPD and to
Colorado 4 Kids (844-CO-4-Kids).

In addition to notifying law enforcement and Colorado 4 Kids, University of Colorado personnel will report suspected sexual abuse of a minor to the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance at the University of Colorado.
