Student Learning Outcomes
Our Campus Affiliates are intentionally multidisciplinary, diverse in thought and structure, and have unique components and attributes. Although they each have their own identity, all Affiliates believe in shared values and student outcomes. The Center for Leadership is intentional in ensuring that all students at CU who are engaged with or participate in an affiliated program meet the following outcomes:
- Students conduct themselves with integrity each day and base all decisions on an ethical foundation
- Students take advantage of multiple opportunities to practice and apply leadership skills and development outside of the classroom and in the campus setting
- Students operate with self-awareness and a high-level emotional intelligence
- Students have the ability to communicate across different audiences with professionalism and respect
- Students operate with a growth mindset and continually seek opportunities to learn and grow
- Students have situational self-awareness and can assess and identify their role in any given context (leader, follower, listener, speaker, etc.)
- Students are culturally responsive in actions and communication
- Students develop an internal bias towards taking meaningful action to implement ideas and solutions that are products of intentional and critical deliberation and decision-making
- Students demonstrate a desire to fill gaps in knowledge and leadership in any given area of study
- Students have the opportunity to develop and grow their personal and professional resilience
