As assistant dean for organizational development, culture, and equity, Monique McCloud will provide strategic leadership of the staff by identifying and executing organizational development initiatives. She will be the college’s HR leader, responsible for leading the college’s DEI strategy as it relates to our more than 250 staff.
Thank you to Rhonda Hoenigman for her four years of impactful leadership as associate dean for undergraduate education. Faculty applications for the role are being accepted through March 22, and the new appointment will begin July 1.

Daria Kotys-Schwartz of Rady Mechanical Engineering is co-chairing the campus-wide working group tasked with examining campus policies governing faculty annual merit evaluations, salary allocations, retention offer practices and other faculty-specific merit evaluation and salary allocation processes.
The BOLD Scholars selection process and application review is March 20-29. In addition to contributing to DEI efforts in the BOLD Center, it’s a prime professional development and service opportunity.Applications contain student demographics, a list of student activities and work history, general scholarship essay questions and one BOLD Center-specific prompt. The process is electronic, and detailed instructions and a rubric are provided. Readers have 1.5 weeks to review their list of applicants.
Faculty invited to SWE “meet your major” event

The CU Boulder Society of Women Engineers chapter is hosting an intended to provide SWE members an opportunity to meet others from their major in a casual setting over coffee and snacks. This year, they would like to invite faculty to participate to give members a chance to get to know women-identifying faculty in their programs. .
Claire Bennett was nominated for Outstanding Administrator or Leader.
Alana Davis-DeLaria was named Outstanding Academic Coach. Anna Hemming was also nominated.
Beth Webb was nominated for Outstanding Student Success Professional.
Jerry Nguyen and Amanda McKenzie took first place in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Champions category.
Rachel Ackerman, Toni Gossett and Alex Voorhees were nominated for Outstanding New Academic Advisor.
Rachel Campagna, Kim Goho, Lindsey Morford and Carrie Ann Ngai were nominated for Outstanding Experienced Academic Advisor.
