Abigail Rackley
Post-Masters Social Work Fellow • LSW

Abigail is currently a post-masters social work fellow with CAPS. Abigail earned her master's in social work with a health and mental health focus from the University of South Carolina in 2023. She completed internships at a residential behavioral treatment facility for adolescents with severe and persistent mental illness and provided counseling in an alternative school for students aged 15-18 working towards their GED. Before earning her master’s degree, Abigail was an AmeriCorps VISTA involved in programs promoting education, equity and leadership for elementary and middle schoolers. She also created and directed a learning center for elementary and middle school students while they were distance learning during the height of the pandemic.

Abigail believes in the importance of creating a strong therapeutic alliance and focuses on creating a safe environment for students to work through life's stresses. She is passionate about increasing access to mental health resources and creating a supportive environment for students.
