How We Make an Officer
The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) program is essentially a four year interview process where the Cadre and Cadet Wing educate, train, and develop you personally and professionally to become a leader and officer in the United States Air Force and Space Force. The main difference between AFROTC and other leadership programs is our leadership laboratory. Under the supervision of AFROTC Detachment 105 Cadre, junior and senior cadets, also known as Professional Officer Course (POC) Cadets, are provided the opportunity to lead and manage the freshman and sophomore cadets, also known as General Military Course (GMC) Cadets. This provides an opportunity for cadets to learn how to follow and lead in a safe and challenging environment that demands excellence.
