A NASA mission involving CU Boulder was successfully launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 5:05 p.m. MDT Thursday night and is on its way to explore an asteroid, setting the stage for a better understanding of the evolution of our solar system.

Warren F. Motte Jr., professor of French and comparative literature at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ, has been named the 2016 Professor of Distinction by the College of Arts and Sciences in recognition of his exceptional service, teaching and research.
David J. Nesbitt has been awarded the American Chemical Society's 2017 E. Bright Wilson Award in Spectroscopy. The award recognizes outstanding accomplishments in fundamental or applied spectroscopy in chemistry.

New clear bag policy at Folsom Field, Coors Events Center
In an effort to provide a safer environment for fans and expedite entry into Folsom Field, the University of Colorado will be implementing a clear bag policy at CU football games beginning this season.
