Provost Russell Moore and Chief Operating Officer Patrick O’Rourke will kick off the spring semester with a town hall for faculty and staff, giving updates on the logistical, budgetary, health and wellness, and academic issues they expect during the spring semester. The Center for African & African American Studies' Kwanzaa celebration will be an opportunity to recognize the talents and contributions of the Black Buff community. It will also offer the larger community an opportunity to reflect on their contributions to Black communities over the past year and commit to action in the next year.

At the interdisciplinary Research and Innovation for Climate Change Open House, which will help kick off the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit, visitors will be able to see scientific poster presentations, experience hands-on displays and network with others from across campus.

You're invited to attend a livestream discussion with the Polaris Dawn crew: Sarah Gillis—a CU Boulder alumna—Jared Isaacman, Anna Menon and Scott Poteet. The crew will spend up to five days in orbit conducting research on human health and laser-based communications technology. The launch will include experiments from Professors Allie Anderson and Torin Clark.

Join a screening Nov. 3 of "1948: Creation & Catastrophe" with co-director and executive producer Ahlam Muhtaseb. Through the personal recollections of both Palestinians and Israelis, the film—described as a primer for the present—reveals the shocking events of the most pivotal year in the most controversial conflict in the world.
