Hey Buffs, you’ve officially made it to February! This week brings classical music, the Spring Volunteer Fair, a CU in D.C. info session, the Grateful Dead at Fiske, a variety of Black History Month events and more.

Monday, Feb. 5

Grab a free breakfast burrito on your way to class. Yum!

Interviewing is an essential part of the job search process. Learn the basics with this workshop held by Career Services.

Build your leadership skills while connecting with like minded peers and Build a Buff Leadership Luncheons. The topic of February’s luncheon is event planning.

Learn more about interning, studying and exploring our nation’s capital this upcoming summer or fall. Earn 12 credits and gain hands-on experience.

Clarkisha Kent, a Nigerian American writer, culture critic and author is visiting campus. She will be discussing media, Blackness and fatphobia in her presentation. 


Thursday, Feb. 8

Are you interested in experimental filmmaking? Check out some films by Stan Brakhage and other experimental filmmakers on 16mm during this event.

Friday, Feb. 9

During this self defense class, attendees will learn how to use verbal and physical skills to increase personal safety in real life situations. All expressions of the female and nonbinary identity are welcome. No experience necessary.

Join the CU Art Museum in celebrating two new exhibitions: Museum for Black Girls’ “We CU: A Visual Celebration of Black Womanhood, Presence, and Connectedness” and “(Art)work: Systems of Making.” Light refreshments will be served.

Enjoy fun climbing activities and Valentine’s Day treats during this themed climbing event.

Gordon Parks's “Shaft” is a film about private detectives. Independent filmmaker Alex Cox will be in attendance.
