Among public institutions, several CU Boulder undergraduate programs rank in the top 25 or better nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report’s “best colleges” publication for 2023.
Among public institutions, CU Boulder’s College of Engineering and Applied Science is ranked No. 17nationally (or No. 30 overall—including private and for-profit universities). Aerospace engineering is No. 6(or 10 overall); environment/environmental health engineering is No. 9 (or 17 overall); chemical engineering is No. 13 (or 20 overall); mechanical engineering is No. 15(or 26 overall); civil engineering is No. 17 (or 25overall); and computer science is No. 19(or 37 overall).
CU Boulder’s business program at the landed the No. 23 spot (or 34 overall).
Also, CU Boulder is No. 19 (or 61 overall) for “best schools for veterans.”
Overall, CU Boulder ranks No. 42 in the nation among public institutions (or No. 97 overall).
