The Museum of Boulder has partnered with CU Boulder'sÌýCollege of MusicÌýto create a pop-up exhibit, Music Buffs: A Century of Music at CU, that exploresÌýthe college's history in celebration of itsÌý100th anniversary.
Open to the public from Oct. 7 to Nov. 28,ÌýMusic BuffsÌýalso features the stories of some of the most iconic music venues on campus, as well as famous alumni.
An opening reception for Music BuffsÌýwill be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, where guests will be able to meet the exhibit'sÌýcurators and special guests from the College of Music. The opening reception is included with admission to the museum and includes access to all exhibits; museum members will be able to attend the reception for free.
Additionally, on Friday, Nov.Ìý5Ìýat 7 p.m., CU Professor Laurie Sampsel will present "A Guided Tour of Colorado Songs" as she explores Colorado’s negatives and positives using twenty songs in a variety of styles and genres—from folk songs to rap,Ìýcountry to rock,Ìýand opera to pop—dating from the late nineteenth century to the present.ÌýTickets for the tour are $10 and .
