Actress Jameela JamilJameela Jamil, star of NBC's The Good Place and a writer and activist, will give a virtual CU Boulder talk on Thursday, April 8. Jamil is being hosted by the Cultural Events Board, a CU Boulder student-led organization.

The free event will take place on Zoom at 6p.m. (MDT) and is open only to current CU Boulder students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty and staff. Attendance is limited to 3,000 attendees. Audience members are encouraged to submit questions when they pre-register.

Jamilis known widely for playing the role ofTahani Al-Jamil in NBC's The Good Place. She also has hostedthe TBS game show The Misery Index.A passionate advocate for many causes, in 2018, Jamillaunched a movement and social media platform which encourages women to feel valuable and look beyond the flesh on their bones. She hasappeared on various talk shows including Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan, The Talk, GMA, The Today Showand Seth Meyers to name a few. Shealso has workedin media as a radio hostin Britain, including on BBC Radio 1.
