Through Jan. 21, select first-year CU Boulder students can take the Heighten to earn $25 in Campus Cash and have a chance to win a $250 gift certificate to the CU Book Store.

The assessment seeks to gather important data informing civics education at CU, with questions designed to measure students’knowledge of civic practices and institutions; skills in understanding and participating in civic life; and attitudes, preferences and degrees of engagement in civics generally.

The CCEA is administered in a single session with an estimated completion time of 45 minutes, although students will have up to 90 minutes to fill out the survey.

CU Boulder will not review any individual results—which will be confidential—but will receive a report after the survey period ends with an overview of how CU Boulder participants performed as a group.

Select first-year students on Monday, Jan. 6, received an email describing how to take the survey, so students should check their colorado.edu email for instructions. For technical questions on the survey, contact the ETS Technical Support at 1-800-514-8491 orby email.
