CU Boulder Next will make its 2019 debut in Denver Thursday evening, kicking off the second year of the university’s national outreach tour.

The four-year, nine-stop tour offers the public and members of the campus community a unique opportunity to hear from CU Boulder’s top thinkers and doers on the university’s latest cutting-edge research, innovation and humanitarian efforts. Denver attendees will also be among the first to hear from new Buffs football coach, , and will learn what’s next in CU football.

“This exciting program showcases the phenomenal breadth of academic achievement that makes CU Boulder a top university for leadership, innovation and impact on society,” said Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano. “We look forward to interacting with alumni, donors, parents and prospective students.”

Denver will be the third installment for the national tour and is one of the flagship university’s biggest markets. Through a series of innovative BuffTalks and interactive exhibits, guests will learn about what’s on the horizon for CU Boulder from the university’s inspiring minds.

Topics of research, innovation, culture, education and more will be explored at the event. Participants will view the acclaimed CU Boulder short film, , and can network with the CU community while enjoying alumni-produced beer and wine and food pairings.

Speakers include: Chancellor DiStefano, Nobel Laureate Tom Cech, Coach Tucker, Pixar consultant and alumnus Christopher Bell, CU Boulder Rhodes Scholar Serene Singhand CU faculty member and beer archaeologist Travis Rupp.

CU Boulder’s innovative outreach tour will visit San Francisco next on Feb. 21, and attendees will have the opportunity to hear from yet another one of the university’s Nobel Laureates, Eric Cornell, and several other distinguished speakers across a variety of disciplines.
