Shakespeare's Sprites is a playful introduction to the Bard for children ages 6 to 9鈥攋ust one of several summer camps offered on campus.

Others programs are designed for budding scientists, aerospace engineers and听musicians. Still, more focus on leadership skill-building, the language and culture of ancient Rome, college preparation and more.
Seven-year-old听Bowe Victoria Schlansker, who participated in the program in 2016 and recently appeared in a Saturday Night Live skit, says 鈥減laying acting games with the other kids鈥� was her favorite part of the camp.
础迟听, Schlansker learned stage combat using pool noodles and performed the role of Helena in a scene from A Midsummer Night鈥檚 Dream. The camp also introduces Elizabethan costumes, period insults, Renaissance songs and lively scene work. Each week culminates in a final showing for family and friends, and tuition includes one ticket to attend a production.
Schlansker's mom, Angie Nevarez, grew up in Boulder听and 鈥渓oved going to the Shakespeare festival every summer.鈥� Nevarez advises other parents: 鈥淪ign up! Sprites is a wonderful way to introduce and inspire a love for the hilarious stories of Shakespeare at a young age.鈥�
