Scene at CU: First day of spring, BuffsUnited, more

Did we see you around in recent days? Captured in photos were a BuffsUnited program celebrating diversity and inclusion, a campus visit and student seminar with United Launch Alliance chief Tony Bruno, a talk by political commentator Ann Coulter, scenes from around campus this week and highlights shared by you in social media.

Scene at CU is a weekly series, a look back at happenings and stories among the campus community, captured in visuals. See, watch and take in the moments. You might catch a glimpse of a thrilling event, a grand celebration, the culmination of an achievement, a subtle beauty among our surroundings, the flux of seasons, a quiet observance, a community connection and more.

BuffsUnited: Interwoven Intersectionalities

Across campus at Old Main, BuffsUnited hosted Interwoven Intersectionalities, an arts and culture program that celebrated diversity and inclusion. The event drew nearly 70 people from CU Boulder and the surrounding community. Highlights of the evening included interpretive dances, spoken word poetry, on-stage conversations and a performance from the student-led a cappella group Mile 21.

Ann Coulter, political commentator and author, attracted a full house to her free talk Wednesday evening, hosted by the CU Boulder student organization chapter of Turning Point USA. The crowd of students and community members gave her a few standing ovations. Â鶹ÊÓƵ 50 students walked out of the talk, which focused on immigration policy, in protest.
