The Volunteer Resource Center on campus (UMC 458) partners with more than 200 community organizations, connecting students with volunteer programs that best fit their individual interests and needs.
Here are some of the VRC’s favorite places to volunteer:
Volunteers provide free and convenient English language classes to predominantly immigrant CU employees who hold an array ofpositions throughout the campus.
Volunteers help aid in the effort to end hunger in Boulder and Broomfield counties.
Anon-profit that serves Boulder families and individuals by providing free food assistance to those in need. Volunteers help clients shop for food or other projects around the pantry.
Volunteers prepare sandwiches, raisins, carrots and supplies and walk down to the Boulder Creek to serve many of our community’s “visible” homeless persons, while engaging in conversation and a meal together.

: The programs of Ignite Adaptive Sports at Eldora Mountain Resort are provided by over 200 volunteers who all share a love of skiing and a commitment to providing winter recreation opportunities to members of the community of persons with disabilities.
: Volunteers donate their time and talents to provide support, advocacy and education to those in our community who are livingwith or affected by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and to serve as an outreach and information center to prevent further transmission of HIV.
: Volunteers work mostly as one-on-one mentors or tutors for low income youth in the Boulder Valley and St. Vrain Valley school districts to help maintain academic success and socio-emotional support.
: Volunteers provide essential services for elderly and those living with disabilities in the community. Some of the tasks include yard work, snow shoveling, meal prep and delivery so that these community members can live more safe, independent lives.
:Aprogram run by the city of Boulder where volunteers can participate in outdoor, environmental and agricultural projects.
