Well, fellow buffaloes, our school year is officially underway. We are a few weeks into school now, we beat the CSU Rams, and the first round of midterms are fast approaching. Organizations on and off campus are also hard at work and still have positions open and available. CU Student Government is one of those organizations and we are looking for passionate, hardworkingand fun-loving students who want to be involved on campus.

CUSGis one of the largest student governments in the country. We allocate $23 million in student fees across cost centers, programsand student organizations every year. CUSGis run for the students, by the students, and will impact you throughout your time in Boulder so use your voice and get involved. We have four positions available: social media chair, sustainability chair, international students liaisonand election commissioner.

The social media chair manages all CUSGsocial media accounts, attends campus events representing CUSG, and attends all CUSGmeetings.We are looking for a student with exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as a comprehensive understanding and comfort with all social media platforms.

The sustainability chair acts as CUSG’s liaison to the Environmental Center and student organizations specializing in environmental efforts. The chairworks with the executives and Environmental Center to address and strive to resolve the environmental issues facing our campus. We are looking for a student with exceptional interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, facilitationand leadership skills as well as organizational skills.

The international students liaison acts as CUSG'sliaison to international students and works closely with the Office of International Students and Students of Scholar Services (ISSS) to explore and identify international student needs and to deliver programs to the community. We are looking for a passionate student with the desire to serve fellow students. Applicantsmust also have exceptional interpersonal, writtenand verbal skills as well as a comprehensive understanding of different cultural practices and issues.

Election commissioner ensures open, fairand efficient student government elections. The commissioneralso advertises fall and spring elections while soliciting qualified candidates for CUSGoffice. We are looking for a student with exceptional interpersonal skills with very strong organization skills.
