The Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Real Estate Council will hold its 17th annual forum Wednesday, March 5, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Denver Marriott City Center.
The event at 1701 California St. is open to the public. Co-presented by the CU-Boulder at the and its CU Real Estate Council, the conference will offer commentary by national and local experts on institutional capital, residential and hospitality real estate and more.
Sam Zell, founder and chairman of Equity Group Investments, will help lead a session at 3:20 p.m. Zell is considered a founding father of today’s public real estate industry after creating three of the largest real estate investment trusts in history. He’s owned a number of companies such as Schwinn Bicycle Co. and the Revco drugstore. His business involvement has included industries such as energy, logistics, transportation, media and health care.
Earlier in the day, Gunnar Branson, president and CEO of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers, will discuss exponential function as it pertains to real estate at 8:20 a.m. The forum also will include alumni and leadership awards, student presentations and a networking hour at 4:30 p.m.
The cost ranges from $150 to $195 for CU Real Estate Council members and nonmembers. The conference will offer eight hours of continuing education credit to all-day attendees for a $45 fee in addition to registration fees. Forum attendance is free for current CU-Boulder students, faculty and staff.
