The CU-Boulder Leeds School of Business will present its 37th annual Colorado Business Economic Outlook Forum at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, in the Grand Ballroom at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver.

The comprehensive state outlook features trends and forecasts prepared by more than 70 key business, government and industry professionals and is compiled by the Business Research Division at the Leeds School of Business.

The outlook presentation will be followed by a Q-and-A session featuring the state's top economists: Nancy McCallin, Office of State Planning and Budgeting; Wilson Kendall, Center for Business and Economic Forecasting; Tucker Hart Adams, the Adams Group; and Richard Wobbekind, director of the Leeds School's Business Research Division.

William J. Hannigan, president, chairman and CEO of Sabre, will follow as the keynote speaker. His presentation will address the state of the tourism industry.

The forum will conclude with a series of breakout sessions focusing on some of the top issues facing the state of Colorado:

o Growth: Strategies from Industry, Government and Education - Byron Koste, director of the CU Real Estate Center.

o Population, Labor Force and Personal Income - David Larson, senior economist, Colorado Department of Labor.

o Betting on Biotech - Robert E. Olson, executive director, Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority.

o Energy and Security - John Tobin, Energy Literacy Project.
