The chief executive officer of Landor Associates, the elite brand-consulting firm that will create the design for the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and represents companies such as Levi's, Delta Airlines, Xerox and Lucent, will speak at the CU-Boulder College of Business on May 1.
Clay Timon, CEO of Landor Associates and an alumnus of the CU-Boulder College of Business, will discuss the advertising industry and his experiences in business.
Timon will talk at 3:30 p.m. in the Math Building, room 100, on the Boulder campus. The presentation is part of the College of Business's Profiles in American Enterprise course and the school's Ben K. Miller lecture series. The talk is free and open to the public.
Prior to joining Landor, Timon worked for nine years as the director of international operations for the advertising agency Doyle Dan Bernbach and helped the company expand into 24 countries. He took over as CEO of Landor in 1993.
Landor, a subsidiary of Young & Rubicam, earned an estimated $180 million in revenues in 1999. It created the design program for the 1996 and 1998 Olympic Games, and was chosen to create the design for the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
The Profiles in American Enterprise course is a requirement for all undergraduate business majors and is one of the most popular classes on campus. It features entrepreneurial leaders and Fortune 500 executives speaking to students on issues facing the marketplace.

Miller International Business Lecture Series invites renowned speakers and successful international business executives to share their global business experiences with College of Business students.
