Reunion events, the annual Homecoming Parade and a pregame Sinkburger party under the "Big Top" are highlights of the upcoming Alumni Homecoming Weekend Sept. 25-26 at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Seminars, luncheons and "FAC" (Friday Afternoon Club) parties will reunite the classes of 1953, ‘58, ‘63, ‘68, ‘73, ‘78, ‘83, ‘88 and ‘93 all day Friday, Sept. 25.
For the first time this year, the Homecoming parade featuring a "Disco Ralphie—Solid Gold Fever" theme, is scheduled on game day, Sept. 26, beginning at 6 p.m. at University Avenue and Broadway on University Hill. Accompanying the parade will be a tailgate party in the Hill business district for students and friends, including a lawn decorating competition and a John Travolta look-alike disco contest.
Homecoming student award winners, selected by the Student Organization for Alumni Relations, will march in the parade and will be honored at the game.
The annual Sinkburger Tailgate Party for alumni and all Buff fans also takes place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. under the Big Top on the Duane Physics lawn, just across Colorado Avenue from Folsom Stadium. Kickoff against Baylor is 8:15 p.m. The extravaganza features:
