Professor Jerry Zimmerman of the University of Rochester has withdrawn his candidacy for dean of the CU-Boulder College of Business and Administration, citing personal reasons.
"He spoke very highly of the college and of the opportunity for a new dean here," said Harold Bruff, dean of the CU-Boulder Law School and chair of the search committee. "He wishes us the best of luck in our search."
The committee announced that Professor R.D. Nair of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business has accepted an invitation to become a finalist for the position. Nair is associate dean of the school and was previously chair of the department of accounting and information systems. He also holds the Price Waterhouse Professorship.
Nair has a doctorate in accounting from the University of Michigan and has taught at the University of Wisconsin since 1978.
He will visit CU-Boulder from Sunday, May 3, to Wednesday, May 6.
