Youngsters with an interest in science, whether it be looking at bugs or studying advanced astronomy, will find something enticing in Science Â鶹ÊÓƵy, an outreach program of the University of Colorado at Boulder.

After-school and summer enrichment courses are offered in all fields of science for students ages 4 through 16. Courses are taught by instructors specially qualified for the program and held at various campus locations or at the Chautauqua Community House.

Courses offered during the first 5-week fall session, which starts Monday, Sept. 22, include Lego Mechanics I, Spiders, Bugs and Butterflies; Crime Lab; Wild in the Woods; Science Magic; and Rockets for Junior Astronauts. Enrollment is still open for every course with the exception of Rockets for Junior Astronauts.

Session B offerings, which start in November, include Junior Science Explorers I, Astronomy, Advanced Astronomy, Toys in Space, Lasers and Lights, Penguins and their Young, and Animals and Art 3/Creatures of the Sea.

Science Â鶹ÊÓƵy also sponsors the Science Explorers Program, a series of day-long, hands-on science workshops for groups of teachers and students; and Science from CU, which offers classroom presentations and assembly programs to schools throughout the state.
