Every session creates an impact. Each year, ASSG representatives graduate and move forward towards their dreams. This page is a dedication to those who have made ASSG such a valuable and wonderful experience.

Shannon O'Neill

Class of 2022

“I spent the majority of my time as a student in higher education feeling as if I didn’t belong, as if the community and the university were not designed for someone like me to exist within. This feeling is not unique.

The systems currently in place could not have been designed for the students they are serving today, because we were not there to design them for ourselves. To have the world we want, we must be the ones to create it.

I count my experience in student government as one of the most significant blessings of my life. If I interacted with you during my time in ASSG, thank you for your contribution to that.

Thank you for allowing me to lead and serve.

During their time as an ASSG member, Shannon held the positions of voting member, recruitment chair, treasurer, and president. Shannon graduated in December of 2022 with a B.A. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, and hopes to continue serving the needs of the public via a career in library sciences, land management, or some other third thing they haven’t figured out yet."

Elijah Parkes

Class of 2024

During Eli’s time as an ASSG member, Eli held the positions of secretary, vice president, and president. All throughout his time as a member Eli was making differences. President Eli has shown us all what a true leader is. Eli’s presence will truly be missed.

Eli spent countless hours responding to and sending emails, leading meetings, keeping track of all ASSG projects, alongside being a friend and great leader for this organization. Many obstacles were thrown his way but he always persevered and found a way to problem solve. Eli attended every meeting ready to make this school a better place. He took countless hours out of days reaching out to organizations and ensuring we were fitting as many funding hearings as possible into our meetings. His passion to be inclusive has spread all throughout this organization and that will never be forgotten.

Eli graduated in May of 2024 with a B.A. in International Affairs.

ASSG cannot wait to see all that you accomplish!

CU and ASSG thank you for your service.

Megan Adam

Class of 2024

“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.â€
Michelle Obama

During Megan's time as an ASSG member, she held the position of voting member which allowed her to make an impact on so many students.

Megan went to every meeting with a smile on her face and passion to help others. As a member of the recruitment committee she helped with the involvement fair, merch, our annual retreat, and lots more. We truly appreciate the time and effort and will greatly miss her.

Megan graduated in May of 2024 with a B.A. in environmental studies and environmental planning.

ASSG cannot wait to see all that you accomplish!

Thank you for the impact you’ve made in ASSG and CU.
