Why Join CU AISES?
Being an AISES member means being a part of a greater community. With access to scholarships, conferences, and lifelong networking opportunities, AISES is there to set American Indians up for success and create connections that will last beyond graduation. CU AISES is a chapter that has set out to establish and expand upon professional, cultural, and leadership development for each of its members. It provides the chance for any American Indian or Alaska Native to choose their own path in STEM and find what matters to them.
Along with preparing members for career fairs and conferences with resume workshops and counseling, CU AISES works closely with local companies as a way of building partnerships between industry professionals and students. We invite guest speakers to give presentations on what their companies are looking for in student applicants for internships and jobs, oftentimes getting contact information that members can then use to reach out with further interest and questions.
There may be a place for you on our leadership team! Come to the meetings, get to know us and what we do, and either talk with one of us or shoot us an email at aisesboulder@colorado.edu with how you want to be involved. If you think there should be an additonal leadership position that we are currently missing, we are open to listening and discussing potential positions to add!

CU AISES does not require its members to be officially registered with AISES national to participate in our events and meetings, but if you choose to attend AISES-sanctioned events, such as the national and regional conferences, then AISES membership is required.
