Brian Catlos to Speak at Jaipur Literature Festival

JLF Poster

This Fall, Jaipur Literature Festival, the world's largest literary festival, will travel to Boulder, Colorado as a creative caravan of writers and thinkers, poets and balladeers. In true JLF fashion, the festival will start with a sublime morning music session and end with a riveting debate. Showcasing South Asia’s unique and multilingual literary heritage and juxtaposing oral and performing arts, books and ideas, dialogue and debate, Bollywood and politics, this magical mystery tour is an intense three-day teaser of what has been declared “the greatest literary show on earth.” Beautiful Boulder is known for its 300 days of sunshine per year and its highly educated, professional population of more than 100,000, for its deep interest and leadership in social, technical and environmental innovation and for yoga & mindfulness practices, cycling & fitness and natural health & healing. Rather than readings, the Festival largely consists of interviews and panels which address timely themes of local and international interest during which 2 – 4 authors are in conversation with one another looking at the ideas and themes in their books as well as the process of writing, skillfully moderated by leading journalists and authors. The Festival will be held the Boulder Public Library and Civic Lawns with a week of lead-up activities held at the Boulder Public Library, the University of Colorado at Boulder, Naropa University, the Denver Public Library, and other venues.
