Giovanni Cecconi lectured at CU on old and new paganism and the conversion of the late antique west
The Departments of Classics and History, the Graduate Committee on the Arts and Humanities, and the CU Mediterranean Studies Group presented a free public lecture September 21st in Eaton Humanities 135 at 5:00.  Giovanni Cecconi, an Associate Professor of Roman history at the Universita degli Studi di Firenze, spoke on "'Old' and 'New' Paganism and the Conversion of the Late Antique West: An Interpretive Model."  The lecture was followed by a reception.
