Faculty/Staff Parking

Faculty and staff can can use the online portal to purchase a lot-specific, monthly permit or a lot-specific daily pass. See below for specific details.

 

Permanent Employees: Long-term Parking Options

To purchase Faculty/Staff parking access, employees should sign into their and purchase a permit for one of the available lots. Employees can also join a waiting list to be notified if a space becomes available. View step by step instructions here.

Fees are collected at the end of the month for that month's access. For example, fees for access from January 1st through January 31st will be deducted from the paycheck that is received at the end of January. Parking fees are calculated by the half or full month. Requests for access beginning before the 15th of the month will be charged $60. Requests for access beginning on or after the 15th of the month will be charged $30. 

Instead of hanging tags or stickers, CU uses Lincense Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to verify your parking access. Please confirm that your license plate information is correctly associated with your permit before you park. Changes can be made in the , by email at parking@colorado.edu, or by phone at 303-735-7275.

Parking at meters and pay station lots requires additional payment. When campus lots are closed/impacted for events and maintenance, parking patrons will receive an email with an alternate parking option (excluding our campus move-in event, when alternate transportation options are necessary.)

Standard Rate: $60/month

Motorcycle: $20/month (Also applies to mopeds and scooters)

Permanent Employees: Temporary and Short-term Parking Options

Faculty and staff who do not wish to purchase long-term parking may purchase short-term parking. Day and month increments are available and may be purchased online or by phone at (303) 735-PARK (7275). Please have your license plate available. 

To support those who would like to park on campus less than 5 days per week, we continue to offer daily parking in specified lots, subject to availability. Faculty and Staff will need to to access the discounted rate.

  1. Log into the  using your IdentiKey and password.
  2. Once logged in, select "Purchase Parking Permit" then select "Daily Parking".
  3. Choose the date(s) for the permit and “Confirm”.
  4. Select from the available lot options. (these may change depending on the date selected)
  5. Select or Add the vehicle you will be driving.
  6. “Confirm” and “Add Permit to Cart”
  7. Enter Billing Information and Checkout (you will have the option to save your payment information).

Temporary Employees

Temporary employees may purchase daily or monthly temporary parking. Payroll deduction is not currently available for temporary employees. Purchase by phone at (303) 735-PARK (7275). Pay with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, 鶹Ƶ and American Express.)

Expiration notices are sent one week before access expires. This is a reminder only. Employees are responsible for keeping parking access up to date.

Other Things to Note

Cancel Your Parking

Requests for cancellation must be effective before the end of the month to avoid being billed for the next month. Payment is non-refundable

Multiple Vehicles

You may register multiple vehicles, but only one vehicle may be parked in the lot at a time. You may , by emailing parking@colorado.edu, or by calling 303-735-7275.

Off-peak Parking

Outstanding Citations

All outstanding citations must be paid before a permit can be purchased.

Parking Lot Closures

Parking Services may need to close lots for events and/or maintenance. We will communicate these closures, and provide parking alternatives by email. Be sure to check your email and to keep your contact information up to date. Vehicles must be able to be moved within 72 hours of a notification of closure. Please contact customer service if you plan on leaving your vehicle in your lot for an extended period. Should your vehicle need to be relocated for a closure, you will be responsible for any relocation cost.
