Maggie L. McNulty is a PhD student in the History Department at the University of Colorado, Boulder. McNulty holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Drexel University and a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests explore the intersection of American environmental history and environmental justice by conducting oral histories. She uses storytelling as a method in which to examine the relationship between race, class, and toxic exposure. McNulty’s pursuit of a PhD in History comes from a deeply rooted belief that by studying the past, we can design a better future.
