Compliance Team Restructure
The OCG Compliance Team is thrilled to announce the restructure and transition of to a department assignment model, which was effective November 15, 2024. This new structure standardizes roles and responsibilities across the compliance team, fostering broad expertise and deeper knowledge within our ranks. Historically, the team has operated under single-person positions. The benefits of moving away from single-person positions include:

- Enhanced Engagement: Boosting overall involvement and enthusiasm within the team.
- Variety and Campus Connections: Increasing diversity in tasks and strengthening campus ties.
- Alignment and Cohesion: Creating a unified model in sync with other OCG teams.
- Operational Understanding: Improving insights into organizational operations.
- Equitable Workload: Facilitating the ability to analyze and rebalance workloads, promoting fairness.
- Sustainable Growth: Establishing a structure that supports ongoing expansion in compliance activities.

Your department’s assigned Compliance Officer will respond to inquiries that come into these boxes. Use of these emails ensures a response and coverage when team members may be out of office.
The restructuring initiative began in November 2023. With the unwavering support of OCG Leadership, the team engaged in anchor days to draft outlines and timelines, followed by extensive training and a trial phase.
The Compliance Team is excited about this innovative approach and are committed to supporting our OCG colleagues and the University as we move forward together.
