Adam Trapp studies theoretical models of early galaxy formation. Such galaxies generate far-reaching radiation backgrounds, which determine the characteristics of the hydrogen spin-flip background that is a key target of low-frequency radio telescopes. Adam studies the best ways to measure these galaxies’ properties and how to combine galaxy observations with measurements of the spin-flip background to learn more about the Cosmic Dawn.
