TheÌýCollege of Arts and SciencesÌýoffers four undergraduate biology related programs. These areas of study collectively span the range of biological systems from global ecology to the properties of the molecules of life.
Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) concentrates on how living systems operate at the cellular and molecular levels, their assembly and structure, emphasizing cellular and genetic regulation, including embryonic development. A degree in MCDB prepares students for careers in health and medicine, biomedical and agricultural research, biotechnology, and more.
A degree in MCDB requires coursework in chemistry, biochemistry, math, physics (optional but recommended), and cellular and molecular biology.
