Getting to Boulder

Public Transportation

Boulder's Community Transit Network is owned and operated by the RTD, with a fleet of buses that transport passengers throughout Boulder and connect with regional bus routes. Your graduate student fees include a RTD College Pass, which will be given to you along with your BuffOne Card when you arrive.

Biking

Boulder is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the country. Many students bike to school and around town. If you do not a own a bike, you can take advantage of the Boulder B-cycle, a community-supported bike-sharing program. Housing

It is important to seek housing as soon as possible and before your arrival here. You may want to get in touch with other first-year students in the Math department and look for a place together. Contact the Graduate Assistance for an email list for new graduate students.

Graduate & Family Housing

Though graduate students are not required to live on-campus, they may apply for CU Boulder Graduate & Family Housing. Graduate and Family Housing applications are taken and processed throughout the year, but you might be put on a waiting list. Studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments are offered and you can apply through the .

Ralphie’s List

Ralphie’s List is run by CU's Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations Office, and is the only university affiliated resource for finding off-campus housing. It is a good source to search for compatible roommates, and then search for housing together. You can access  with your CU IdentiKey.
