Stephanie Davis is the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer for Volkswagen Group of America. She assumed her role in May 2017 and brings more than a decade of experience in compliance program and process design, implementation and oversight in corporate, advisory and academic settings in the United States. In her current role, she directs strategy for and drives a culture of compliance and integrity that ensures adherence to legal and statutory requirements as well as the highest ethical principles.Â
Prior to joining Volkswagen Group of America, Davis served as a Director in the National Forensic Practice of the audit, tax, and advisory firm KMPG, based in Washington, D.C. There, she specialized in automotive, banking and energy clients with a focus on financial service fraud, forensic accounting investigations, compliance policies and procedures and regulatory change management. Â Davis also spent more than seven years in compliance roles in the electric and power industries.
In 2018, Davis was named as an Automotive Industry Rising Star by Automotive News. Â She was awarded Compliance Officer of the year at the 2019 Women in Compliance awards in London, England, and named a Compliance Top Mind in 2019 by Compliance Week. Â She earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Â She resides in Northern Virginia with her husband, Rick, and two cats.Â
