Peter Anderson is the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer of Carnival Corporation & plc (“Carnival Corp.”), which is one of the largest cruise lines in the world, comprised of nine different brands, which operate over 100 ships, and which employs over 150,000 employees from all over the globe. He also sits on the Executive Leadership Team and oversees the Corporation’s global Ethics & Compliance (“E&C”) Program.
The E&C Program is comprised of various leaders at the Corporation’s All Brands Group (“ABG” or Headquarters), as well as the Ethics & Compliance Officers who are embedded in each of the four operating groups. Aligned with the risk-profile, the E&C Program priorities include environmental; health, safety and security; as well as general compliance topics. The Team also includes leaders in the critical areas of Investigations, Compliance Risk, Compliance Training and Compliance Communications.
Prior to joining Carnival Corp, Anderson led the White Collar & Compliance Team at the law firm of Beveridge & Diamond. He previously the environmental compliance leader on the Volkswagen Diesel Court Appointed Monitor Team. After graduating from law school, he clerked for the Honorable Graham C. Mullen, United State District Court Judge in Charlotte, N.C., and then was selected into the U.S. Department of Justice Honors Program and served as a federal prosecutor. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University (summa cum laude) and a law degree from the University of Virginia.
