On March 7, 2019, Associate Professor Kristelia GarcÃa will host a conference at the University of Colorado Law School titled "," focused on the intersection of intellectual property and gender. The conference, held in partnership with the Silicon Flatirons Center for Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship, will feature two leading experts on intellectual property law: Orly Lobel, author of You Don’t Own Me: How Mattel v. - anticompetitive use of IP law and concerns about the concentration of power (and composition of leadership) in culture-producing industries
- IP’s expansion to human capital and the disparity in male/female compensation
- fair use in the context of public criticism, especially about gender roles.
