- The October 2022 one-time retention payment is a one-time targeted retention payment for regular faculty and staff at CU Boulder, CU Denver and UCCS as part of an initiative to accelerate the . These payments are being funded by a mix of resources and one-time campus funds.

- Eligible employees for the October 2022 one-time retention payment include regular faculty (including instructional faculty), clinical faculty, regular salaried research faculty, regular salaried university staff and regular salaried classified staff employed as of Sept. 1, 2022 and regardless of funding source.
- Prior to October end-of-month payroll processing, employees who have given notice of resignation or have a current or future termination date in HCM are not eligible.

- The following employees with an active paidappointment as of Sept. 1, 2022 are eligible:
- Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty
- Sr. Instructors (including those with the working title of “Teaching Professor”) and Instructors
- Institute Directors
- Scholars-in-Residence
- Artists-in-Residence
- Research Faculty (not including temporary, stipends,or hourly).This includes salaried or contract (non-stipend) Postdoc Scholars, Postdoc Fellows, PRAs, Research Associates, and Research Professors.
- University Staff (not including temporary or hourly)
- Classified Staff (not including temporary or hourly)
- Summer research, teaching, administrative, or additional appointments are not included. Only primary appointments will be considered.
- Temporary faculty and research faculty (e.g., lecturers, adjunct, affiliates, etc.), graduate students on appointment, hourly employees, student hourly employees, temporary staff including working retirees, $0 compensation and stipend appointments, the chancellor, the provost, and the chief operating officer are excluded.
- Budget and Fiscal Planning and Human Resources will coordinate amounts and upload into HCM. HR Liaisons will be able to review and confirm payments once entered into HCM.
