FBS Dialogues
FBS Dialogues is a partnership between our organization and the CU Dialogues Program aimed at advancing DEI engagement, learning, and action through the practice of dialogue.
FBS Dialogues offers specialized dialogue facilitation training for staff at all levels of the organization, engages dialogue as a practice for identifying DEI action, and integrates dialogic strategies and approaches for collectively advancing a more intersectionally equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace for everyone.Ìý

Shared Equity Leadership Dialogue Series: (re)Engaging SEL Practices in FBS
This unique professional development opportunity is open to all FBS staff and will explore Shared Equity Leadership (SEL) through the practice of sustained organizational dialogue.
The series is organized into three parts.ÌýEach part of the series will consist of four Dialogue Sessions. Whether you are a seasoned Dialoguer or a total beginner, this three-part series is for you!

We are excited to kick off Part Two on October 14 with a session entitled “Listening to Foster Equity.â€
This FBS Dialogues SEL dialogue series is designed to equip equity-focused leaders with communication practices that foster collaboration, drive systemic change, and advance equity in FBS and beyond. This series covers critical aspects of equity focused leadership, including listening, language use, goal-setting, and action-oriented strategies, providing participants with the tools to implement effective, inclusive, and empathetic equity practices. Dialogue Facilitator Training
The FBS Dialogues Project is accepting applications for its Dialogue Facilitator Training program.
Interpersonal dialogue skills support so many aspects of our work in FBS, and advancing intersectional equity is imperative if we are truly to become a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. If you’re curious about developing skills in facilitating dialogues, please apply to participate in this training program.
The 2023-24 application cycle has closed.
Commitments:
- Complete seven (7) training sessions over the course of the year (October - April)
- Act as a participant/observer in a dialogue action implementation group (October - February)
- Read and reflect on provided articles and other materials
- Center diversity, equity and inclusion in the practice of dialogue
Equity Plan Assessment and Support (EPAS) team
Members of the EPAS team will work together and on small, 3-4 person subgroups to assist FBS units in implementing the People-Centered Equity Plan and assessing outcomes. Using a dialogic approach, the EPAS team will:ÌýÌý
Ìý
Function as a unifying and coordinating support system across FBS, bringing awareness and alignment to FBS units and FBS Leadership via two-way feedback loops.
Ìý
Meet monthly as a whole team, and expect to meet regularly with FBS Units and FBS Leadership (exact cadence TBD) beginning September 2024 with a one year minimum commitment.

Include participation in EPAS as a leadership and/or DEI goal in their 2024-25 performance plans.Ìý
