Housing

As a first-year student, there are many campus housing options to choose from. You can explore all of them at the Campus Housing office website. CU Boulder also offers special additional housing programs for engineering students. Information is available on the Housing office website and below:

Residential Academic Programs

Residential Academic Programs (RAPs) offer you the chance to build community and share academic experiences. RAPs feature:

  • Unique courses taught only in the RAP, with small class sizes.
  • A full-time faculty director and upper-division mentors.
  • Fun social activities and other unique program opportunities.

Located in the Kittredge Community, Andrews Hall is home to the Engineering Honors Residential Academic Program, providing an educational experience that matches the abilities and ambitions of some of the very best students at CU.

Located in the Kittredge Community, Kitt Central is home to the Global Engineering Residential Academic Program, providing a Spanish-language community that focuses on global engineering projects and IT-driven intercultural communications.

Living and Learning Communities:

In LLC communities, students live together in the same residence hall and engage in residence hall activities that reinforce a particular academic or special-interest theme.

Quadrangle Engineering & Science LLC

Located directly west of the College of Engineering and Applied Science, the "Quad" comprises four small residence halls--Aden, Brackett, Crosman, and Cockerell. Besides being a convenient place to live, residents receive additional academic support services through the Quadrangle Living and Learning Community.

For additional information, visit the Housing website for more options and details on how to apply for a space in the residence halls, RAPs, and LLC communities.
