Graduation 2017

To be eligible for the baccalaureate degree from the College of Engineering and Applied Science and the听Environmental Engineering program, you must meet all of the following minimum requirements:

  1. The satisfactory completion of the prescribed and elective work in any curriculum as determined by the appropriate academic department. A student must complete a minimum number of semester hours, not less than 128, of which the last 45 must be Boulder coursework earned after admission to the university and this college.

  2. A University of Colorado cumulative grade point average of 2.00 for all courses attempted.

  3. A major grade point average, separately computed, of 2.00 in courses taken from the student鈥檚 major department is also required. 听In environmental engineering, all chemical, civil, environmental, and mechanical engineering courses will be considered in lieu of those from a single department.

  4. The recommendation of the faculty of the academic department (or program) offering the degree. The campus designation on the diploma and transcript shall correspond to the campus designation of the academic department initiating the degree recommendation.听

  5. The satisfactory completion of all Minimum Academic Preparation Standards (MAPS) deficiencies. Note: Students beginning their college career Fall 2023 and on no longer have to sumbit听MAPS.

  6. Our听EVEN major requires the completion of an outcome measurement prior to graduation which is from taking the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.

  7. The EVEN major cannot be combined with an IDEN-BS degree with Environmental Engineering emphasis.

    You should meet with your academic advisor to discuss progress towards degree requirements, and then if appropriate, apply for graduation via the online Student Center according to the timelines posted on the听.
