A week in Chile
Dr. Villanueva took students to Santiago, Chile for the course: Athlete as a National Symbol: Nationhood, Nationalism and Sport.
We visited the oldest Rodeo Club in Chile and met the participants. The club president was excited to have students visiting from the United States. We were treated to a private tour, allowed to ride their horses, provided a barbecue dinner, and presented with gifts.
Dinner at 17-56. This restaurant serves traditional Chilean meals from the southern 56th parallel to the northern 17th parallel. We sampled fish, wild boar, and goat.
Today we visited the national history museum and the Pre-Colombian art museum.
