Academic support & upcoming deadlines

Take action by October 30 if you are consideringÌýany of the following:
- Submit a college petition to request to take a fall class with the Pass/Fail grading basis
- Sign up for the Grade Replacement Program if you are retaking a class this fall in which you previously earned a C- or lower
- Drop a class via if you need to lighten your fall course load

New cloud computing option available
The college has launched a new cloud computing solution, which provides remote access to a Windows desktop from almost any device or platform (including Mac OS)Ìýfrom anywhere with an internet connection, all within a web browser of your choice. This initial launch includes more than 40 applications installed and configured, including Solidworks, AutoCAD, Altium Designer, Revit, ANSYS, MatlabÌýand many more.

A powerful personal computer remains the ideal option for running specialized engineering software, and many of these applications are available to download and install on your personal device or . But as we move toward working and studying remotely, with limited access to on-campus computer labs, cloud computing provides a good solution.Ìý

- Webcams (without internal mics) are available for checkout from the front desk of the Engineering Center Dean's Office, ECAD 100, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday while supplies last.
