Did you know that CU has an official Student Code of Conduct that details standards of conduct that students are responsible for upholding? Students are subject to adjudication by the Office of Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution if not adhering to the code. Similarly, faculty are bound by the Professional Rights and Responsibilities of Faculty Members, which promotes treating students with understanding, dignity and respect.

An easy way to be intentional about cultivating civility in the classroom, at office hours or tutoring/help lab, on and off campus, is to THINK about it: Is what you are about to say, do or write true, helpful, inspiring, necessary and kind?

If it鈥檚 not, you always have the opportunity to reconsider, reflect, refine or let it go. Be a positive force in cultivating civility in the CU Engineering community!

The Department of Defense鈥檚 Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation scholarship is for undergraduate and graduate-level students pursuing a degree in one of the 21 science, technology, engineering and math disciplines. SMART scholars receive full tuition, annual stipends, internships and guaranteed employment with the Department of Defense following graduation. Scholarships are awarded for a minimum of one year and a maximum of five years of funding, depending on degree requirements.
