The College of Engineering and Applied Science, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Leeds School of Business are teaming up to highlight CU Boulder-led research to address climate change. Open to all students, faculty and staff, the event will feature poster presentations and information about the various centers and programs working in this area. There will also be several hands-on displays and plenty of opportunities for networking.

Robin Wall Kimmerer, a scientist, member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and author of Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants, will speak in the on Dec. 1. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the event begins at 11 a.m. The free event is part of the Buffs One Read, a campus-wide program produced by University Libraries and Student Affairs that builds community through the shared reading of one book.

The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is excited to announce the inaugural Biomedical Engineering Career Symposium at CU Boulder! The event is an opportunity for students from all majors to explore industry opportunities within the biomedical engineering field. Students who purchase a ticket will have access to many of the top biomedical engineering companies in Colorado and the opportunity to sign up for one-on-one meetings with company representatives. Dinner is included in the ticket price of $20, and financial assistance is available.

Design for America (DFA), a student organization that teaches and uses human-centered design to create local and social impact, is working with Buff Portal this semester to improve the student experience with the portal's homepage. to help make the portal's homepage better.

Are you interested in boosting your professionalism and empowering your peers to do the same? Career Services is seeking applications from engineering students interested in serving in a leadership role as an engineering peer career advisor (PCA). The position will begin in January 2023. This position pays $15.30/hour and requires a commitment of 10 hours/week. This position is also eligible for work study.

Join their engineering teams that build massively scalable software and systems, architect low-latency infrastructure solutions, proactively guard against cyber threats, and leverage machine learning alongside financial engineering to continuously turn data into action. They are actively hiring undergraduate juniors (graduating in spring 2024 or December 2023) for summer internship roles in software engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and quantitative strategy at their offices in Salt Lake City and Dallas.

Interns work directly with full-time software engineers and other interns in the company鈥檚 Boulder office to develop low-latency, high-performance, proprietary trading systems. They participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, and college students of any year are welcome to apply.

This fellowship program is designed to meet the needs of the Naval Reactors Division of the U.S. Department of Energy for doctoral-level employees for the development of science and engineering technology as it pertains to naval nuclear propulsion.
