Hosted by the University of Colorado Engineering Council (UCEC), the goal of Immersion is to get students more involved with engineering organizations at CU and provide incoming students with an easy opportunity to discover different communities of peers with shared interests. Each attending organization will host a booth to share what they do, so stop by and learn how you can get involved! Check out the spring Immersion webpage for a list of participating student groups.

In each of the five Demystifying Entrepreneurship workshops, you’ll work with a professional who’s an expert in the field, from prototyping to marketing. You can drop by any one workshop or attend them all — think of it like choosing which tools you need for problem-solving.

These workshops are co-hosted by the Idea Forge and the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship. Students from all disciplines are welcome, and you do not need to attend one workshop in order to attend another.

The Biological Sciences Initiative Scholars Program is a funding and professional development program for current CU Boulder undergraduates. Eligible students conducting STEM research are paid to work in a laboratory on the CU Boulder or CU Denver Anschutz Medical Campus. Students also attend seminars to enhance the research experience and summarize their findings through a presentation at the end of the term. Application deadline is Feb. 28.Ìý

The Engineering Excellence Fund's annual major proposal cycle is now open for submissions. Anyone within the College of Engineering and Applied Science can apply for funding in any amount. The application deadline for this proposal cycle is Sunday, March 6, at 11:59 p.m..

The EEF is also accepting spring mini proposals (less than $3,000) for projects that promote excellence and innovation in engineering education at CU Boulder. The application deadline for the mini proposal cycle is Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 11:59 p.m.

The Idea Forge isÌýwelcoming applications for the spring semesterÌýto join our fun team. The available positions are for general Idea Forge student staff members (we call them smiths). Duties vary on a daily basis, but include working on special projects for each of our staff members. Projects can range from doing CAD to helping with research data to teaching workshops. There is also opportunity for promotion!

Engineering Career Services is seeking applications from undergraduate or graduate students interested in serving in a role as aÌýspecial projects student coordinator for Engineering Career Services. We are looking for a student who is interested in event planning and working directly with engineering employers. This student would market events and assist with day-of-event tasks for panels, tabling, and professional development opportunities. This position pays $15/hour and works 10-15 hours/week. Please note that hours may fluctuate based on recruiting needs and time of year.Ìý.
