On Wednesday, Feb. 23, the is once again partnering with the University of Colorado Engineering Council (UCEC) to offer engineering students an opportunity to brush up on their interview skills and offer guidance.听

This event听provides a low-stress setting to help you navigate the difficulties of interviewing for a job or internship. You can sign up to speak with alumni across all majors who are working in industry. Each meeting will last 30 minutes, with the first 20 min allocated to conducting the interview and the last 5-10 minutes reserved for constructive feedback and discussion.听

Current senator听Kimberly Fung is looking for a new co-senator!听This is a great leadership opportunity to enact change in the College of Engineering and Applied Science and across campus.

As an engineering senator in听CU Student Government, you will create and vote on important legislation addressing issues on campus, all while representing the greater student body! In addition, you will participate in the University of Colorado Engineering Council听supporting and advocating for your fellow classmates in engineering.

The role has a 5- to 8-hour commitment and is paid. Applications are due Feb. 18, and interviews will听follow that weekend.听

Looking to gain relevant experience for internships or jobs in the future? Do you want to work with startups or small businesses on problems they are trying to solve? Buff Works Projects might be for you!

Buff Works Projects provide hands-on, experiential projects with actual companies. Career Services will create teams of students from across campus and pair them with companies.

• Projects are six to eight weeks long.
• Each student commits about 30-40 hours total to complete their project.
• The hours worked are often flexible, and most projects will be entirely remote.
• Projects are unpaid but provide great value in other ways.

Buffs Supporting Buffs: Trauma response | Feb. 16

Traumatic experiences happen everyday, and CU students are not exempt. This session teaches participants how to respond to someone after they disclose a traumatic or disturbing event.

Students can schedule a free consultation appointment at Wardenburg Health Center to meet with a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN).

Free Buff Boxes

If you鈥檙e living on campus, you can order free health and wellness supplies online to get delivered directly to your residence hall. Boxes are available for safer sex supplies, cold and flu care as well as stress relief.听

The Federal Highway Administration is hiring 12 recent and graduating bachelor鈥檚 and/or master's civil engineering students to join the FHWA family through its Professional Development Program. Participants spend two years with seasoned professionals as apprentices through mentored on-the-job training in the civil engineering (highway) field.

The Idea Forge is welcoming applications for the spring semester to join our fun team. The available positions are for general Idea Forge student staff members (we call them smiths). Duties vary on a daily basis, but include working on special projects for each of our staff members. Projects can range from doing CAD to helping with research data to teaching workshops. There is also opportunity for promotion!

Charter Communication Operating LLC has established Spectrum Scholars, an educational program for eligible rising juniors with financial need who identify as Asian/Pacific Islander, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino or Native American. If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $20,000 total award, half during their junior year and the other half during their senior year.听

Renewable Energy Scholarship Foundation is soliciting applications for their Morris Scholarship, which is specifically targeted to undergraduate and graduate students with a First Nations background. Their goal is to identify candidates who have demonstrated success in their academic pursuits in any aspect of renewable energy, including engineering and sciences as well as complementary fields like public policy, law, economics and sociology. The deadline for applications is Feb. 15.
