The is once again partnering with the University of Colorado Engineering Council to offer engineering students an opportunity to brush up on their interview skills and offer guidance.

This event is meant to provide a low-stress setting to help you navigate the difficulties of interviewing for a job or internship. You can sign up to speak with alumni across all majors who are working in industry. Each meeting will last 30 minutes, with the first 20 min allocated to conducting the interview and the last 5-10 minutes reserved for constructive feedback and discussion.

Charter Communication Operating LLC has established Spectrum Scholars, an educational program for eligible rising juniors with financial need who identify as Asian/Pacific Islander, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino or Native American.

We鈥檝e been hearing from students that one thing they鈥檇 like to keep from the remote-learning era is access to recorded lectures. In classrooms equipped with lecture capture, this is a straightforward process that is managed by OIT at the instructor鈥檚 request. However, it鈥檚 a small number of classrooms on campus that have this capability, and other approaches to recording don鈥檛 necessarily produce good results and may actually be disruptive to the students attending the class in person. The best things you can do to set yourself up for success as a student is to attend class in person, get to know the other students in your class to form study groups, and ask questions during lecture or office hours if there is something presented that you don鈥檛 understand.

Buffs Supporting Buffs: Trauma response | Feb. 16

Traumatic experiences happen everyday, and CU students are not exempt. This session teaches participants how to respond to someone after they disclose a traumatic or disturbing event.

Join Alex, a certified personal trainer, for a strength training class and Rec Center tour to help you navigate fitness spaces on campus. Alex will discuss his own experiences with fitness as a trans man, share tips on navigating spaces and create a supportive community for LGBTQ+ students.

Students can schedule a free consultation appointment at Wardenburg Health Center to meet with a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN).

Free Buff Boxes

If you鈥檙e living on campus, you can order free health and wellness supplies online to get delivered directly to your residence hall. Boxes are available for safer sex supplies, cold and flu care as well as stress relief.

Engineering Career Services is seeking applications from undergraduate or graduate students interested in serving in a role as an engineering peer career advisor. They are looking for a student who is interested in helping other students, boosting professionalism and empowering peers, as well as serving as a leader. This student would work with peers in one-on-one settings and conduct career-related presentations and help students navigate the job/internship search process. This position pays $15/hour and works up to 10 hours/week. Hours may fluctuate based on recruiting needs and time of year. .
